Well, I wouldn't really call it brave but...
Me and my dog glen had gone down the croft to train, it was the summer holidays...I think. Glen had a habbit of running after rabbits, but I was hoping he didn't. I had treats in my pocket, so his eyes were fixed to me, so I let him off the leash. Everything was fine for almost twenty minutes, then a rabbit ran past. Glen ran after it, and even if I shouted it wouldn't stop him. I was worried because there was alot of lambs about, and Glen would get into ALOT of trouble if he chased them. I started to run after him, and had to climb a fence. I was on my croft, not far from my house. I jumped down from the fence and started to run again, by a wire caught on my ankle and I fell. I knew it was broken straight away, partly because I had heard a large crack. SO what was I supposed to do? Go towards the house or towards my dog?
Half an hour later, after climbing over another fence with a broken ankle, and catching Glen I sat down at the end of my croft. I sat there for about an hour because I was so exhausted and was shaking, my leg was in agony. The only reason my dad noticed I was gone was because I didn't come in for tea. He came down the croft and found me. I may add at that time my arm was in a sling, because I had twisted my wrist. It wasn't that sore, so I had taken the sling off. After an other hour I was up in the house, then I had to go to
A & E. I was there for four hours, and when I told the doctor what happened my parents didn't believe me at all! The doctor did on the other hand because my trousers were so torn from climbing over the fence with barbed wire. I had a horrible summer, because my mother and sister kept saying I was overdoing the pain! They made me walk without the crutch and when I went back to the hospital the doctors were shocked they had done that because it turned out I had also got a swollen tendon in my foot.
