I love music that has been produced in the 1980 era. My favorite band is Journey. All of their songs are pure amazing and speak to me in so many ways. Back in the day, Steve Perry was the lead singer. His voice is pure talent and it will send shivers down your spine. Journey’s current singer, Arnel Pineda has a resemblence to Steve Perry which is quite scary. Arnel’s history and how Journey discovered him is amazing! This group of guys have talent and no one can deny that.

I didn’t even grow up in that era. I wish I did, though.

A song that speaks to me.. That's a tough one. I have to say it's a four way tie. I Won't Let You Go by James Morrison, which I think is pop. Not only are his vocals outstanding in this song, the lyrics really lift me up and make me feel like he is singing to me. I think the song represents hope and love. "This is no time to be alone... Open up your heart to me now." Morrison makes you feel like he is there supporting you through every tough time you have. "if your sky is falling, just take my hand and hold it." For some reason, these lyrics just always make me smile. Dark Blue by Jack's Mannequin, an alternative song. I have to start by saying this man's life story inspires me and really makes me appreciate everything I have. He fought bravely through a bad case of leukemia. The song is inspirational because it speaks of feeling alone, surrounded by everyone and everything a person could ever want, "Have you ever been alone in a crowded room?," and suggests one person could make you feel better if you find the right one. My third song is Swim, by Jack's Mannequin, also alternative. "I swim for brighter days, despite the absense of sun." It relates to his battle with leukemia, but is also relateable to everyone who ever feels like their world is ending and gives people hope that, if you just keep swimming, everything will get better. "Just keep your head above." This song reminds people that they won't be sad forever. My last song is Perfect by Simple Plan, a rock song. "I'm never gonna be good enough for you... I'm sorry, I can't be perfect." This song makes me realize when I screw something up that nobody is perfect. "I try not to think about the pain I feel inside." this reassures me that everyone has pain, even the lead singer of Simple Plan, and everyone survives it. "We can't go back." The past is the past, and I listen to this sonf when I realize I did something wrong or something didn't go right, and it always makes me feel better.

I agree I absolutely love Journey! One of my favorites is definetly Don't Stop Believing. It never fails to brighten my day. That song has way to many awesome memories.. Also Britney, I listened to those song and loved all of them! I agree they are very inspirational! My favorite out of those had to be I Won't Let You Go or Perfect! I can relate to Perfect in a lot of ways. I Won't Let You Go kinda reminds me of my crush.. He may not realize it but I like him a lot more than I'm letting on.. Enough about my love life anyone else have any suggestions?? These were all great!
