I got one of my friends to watch Doctor Who, and she loves it. (We'll call her person 1). That's great, but another one of my friends thinks Doctor Who is disgusting, and as far as I know, she's never even seen it. (She'll be person 2).
Person 1: Hey, Tigress! I watched another episode of Doctor Who yesterday!
Me: That's awesome! Did you enjoy it?
Person 1: Yes, of course! But it was sad. I thought the Doctor died, so I was crying, but then he came back, and I cried more because I was so happy!
Me: The Doctor is awesome like that. He always finds a way out. He makes it up as he goes along, but he does it brilliantly, y'know?
Person 1: I know! At first I didn't get why you liked Doctor Who so much, but now I'm like *fangirl* every time someone says doctor.
Me: Exactly!
So we walk down the hall together for a few more minutes, and yes, we're just as weird all the while. But then this happens:
Me: Get in the TARDIS! It's bigger on the inside.
Person 1: Getting in, Doctor! Wow, it is bigger on the inside!
Person 2: *randomly joins conversation* Doctor Who? My dad loves that show.
Me: Good for him! That's totally awesome!
Person 2: No, that show is sick and disgusting. It's wrong.
Me: How so?
Person 2: It just is.
Me: O RLY?
Person 2: Yeah. It's disgusting.
And they refused to give a better answer. Maybe travelling through time and space isn't their thing, wich I could completely understand, but disgusting? I don't think so, especially since they can't give me a good reason for it.
