I have the exact same problem. My 1x1 is getting pretty good now that the characters don't loathe each other now, but my partner is taking a while to respond now =C. I don't like reminding them because I feel pushy, but I also don't want the rp to die so early.

I don't have an upstairs floor and I live in the middle of a forest, but you're lucky. It's kind of scary being in the middle of nowhere with it pitch black outside and everyone else asleep in the house. Except for the fish tank. I am constantly annoyed by it. Why won't it stop bubbling???

Why do my parents hate me so much? Why can't I be fast asleep like the rest of my siblings? Why do I have to listen to them fight?! This is the worst they've ever been and Michelle is the best mom I've ever had. They can't divorce. I hate my life right now. It's hell.

That's coming from a girl who doesn't even say the littlest swear words like h-e-double hockey sticks.
