I am freaking out e.e"
I was minding my own buisness on my computer, when suddenly all of my interwebs tabs closed out, and I got a strange pop-up. It was notifying me of a 'Win 7 Anti-Virus' program, I guess, and it started to scan my computer. It was showing tons of trojans and keyloggers in my recycle bin, WoT, and even Internet Explorer and such. I freaked out completely and stopped the scanning, emptied my recycle bin, deleted WoT, and such, and tried to get back on IE. A pop-up prevented me from doing so explaining that I should ether download the full Win 7, or I could countinue, stating that would be dangerous and it spotted a keylogger. Of course, I restarted the computer, and that Win 7 popped up again. So I logged off of that user, and went onto my normal user, with no password protectiong. IE wasn't working, and wouldn't load AT ALL. That's when my panic mode set in, I turned off my computer, and I am now sheltered on my dad's computer.

Ether way, I am totally stressing out. ALL of my important stuff is on that computer, I was just working on a project due Weds. on it. All of my important homework, pictures, saves, games, etc; is on that. I have heard of scam anti-virus ware, which will say you must buy a certain anti-virus ware product or it could be dangeorus, but it only turned out to be a scam. I have no idea what this 'Win 7' is. I have never checked on any sketchy sites recently or ever. Memebase, Chickensmoothie, youtube, google, and Yahoo. That's it e.e. Why did it choose to pop up now? If anyone knows why this is happening please let me know, and my computer has not recently been slow, spammy, or anything else. I am huddled on this seat, worrying for myself. My computer is everything...[well,for the most part.FFFF. MYPROJECTANDPICTURES. ]

That's a bad stream of Trojan viruses, I just got it the other day. It's disguised as what you mentioned, but my computer ended up with 28 infections at one time. You need to get that the the hell off your computer, it's a really bad one. ono;;

Edit: I got it from Minecraft, if that might help you figure out where you got it from.. ;n;

we hate to tell you that the win 7 anti virus thing is a virus. a virus that has killed most of our computers. you don't actually have all of those viruses; it's just the anti-virus that is the virus. sweet irony.
it usually comes from DA's ads, from our experiences.

This program is likely a scam, especially if it's trying to get you to buy the full version.

Download a LEGIT anti-virus. Windows Security Essentials should already be on your computer. Run that. AdAware is a great program to run as well - it gets rid of a lot of the adware sort of stuff.

I had some idea that this was a trick, I guess that meant I deleted those two things for nothing. But I immediatly shut off my computer. I do have Minecraft, by the way. It said I had about 20+ viruses as well. My stomach feels horrid, so, how the heck would I get that thing off? I didn't download it, by the way, and would usually shut down the scanning process. I don't have a DA, and don't use it often at all. So, is there anyway to get rid of it? I need that project, and my pictures T.T

Edit: Thank you guys sooo much for the support <333. Glad to know I am not the only one with this, I DID NOT download it, thankfully. I'll see what I can do, now to explain to my parents how I got a huge virus on my computer ^^;.

:C I wish you could talk directly to animals. I would tell Holly that she's going to be okay and not to worry. But she's breathing sort of fast, probably because she's in pain... majorly annoyed at the vet not sending along any pain med now >:C but I'm glad she is with me instead of that kinda-sketch shelter.

@holly-- It took us like three hours to get it off my computer, but what we had to do was google the SpyHunter software or whatever that would erase the Trojans on a separate computer, since it blocks you from opening antivirus stuff. You buy it, put it on a flashdrive, and transfer it to your infected computer while in Safe Mode. I don't know little details because my dad is the geek, but all of my stuff got saved and that's how we did it.

Hah, my dad is a computer geek too. I'll go ask him about it, don't know what they'll say when they found out I got a huge virus, but hopefully we can get it restored. Once again, thankyouthankyouthankyou.
Btw: Is there any other way to find out the exact source? My brothers are yelling at me that I got the virus from this site, or my other sites. [Memebase...Yahoo...Youtube...], I told them I could have gotten it from Minecraft or WoT, and they yelled at me again saying that it wasn't possible because it's offical e.e". I want to tell my father how I got it, somehow else then because of my websites, since I will of ocurse be banned from them...
