Robert Frost.
forever and always as far as poetry goes, but my real hero (and the reason I'm writing my own novel)
is J.K Rowling.

That woman has changed my life in too many ways to name.

Ahh, I forgot about Robert Frost... Yes he’s a brilliant poet... And J.K. Rowling another great writer... though I haven't read Harry Potter yet... I plan to one day, but IDK just haven't gotten the initiative yet to do it. Ooh, your writing a book! Thats awesome!! I must say though, my all time favorite poet now and forever more shall be Edgar Allen Poe. <3 His work leaves me speechless the amount of depth he puts into his writing is astounding!

Robert Frost is one of my favourites too. C:
Another one of my favourite poets would have to be William Blake. I love what I've read of his work, even if it is rather religious, and a religion I am not a part of.

for the deer adoptables, you know how you have to write a story/poem? well, i have a question. Do bucks ever come out on the free adoptables? because i have a poem i wrote about a buck,(been working on it for months, ever since i saw the deer adoptables ^^) and i was saving it. Here is is: (please critique and comment, if you can ^^)

The Buck

There's a wonderful place, where few tend to go,
Where the shadows are still, and the cedars hang low.
The brook babbles lightly, as not to disturb,
and songs can be heard of each different bird.
The air smells so sweet, with the scent of the flowers,
Under sweeping grey clouds, that are whispering showers

Then, out of the clouds, comes a terrible cry,
An eagle, just soaring, way up in the sky.
Looking down intently with steely gray eyes,
It circles, and circles, and straight down it dives.
In seconds it rises above the tall trees,
Clutching something beneath him, and then he leaves.

Off on my right, I hear a slight noise,
A snap, then a crack, so I stand, still and poised.
It stops, it starts, then it's silent again,
So I stand there and wait, as it sprinkles with rain.
It must be a squirrel, playing under that tree,
Yeah, I'll bet that's what it was that startled me.

Then out of the brush, straight ahead this time,
walks a beautiful buck, with one long drop-tine.
He looks up my way and stops dead in his tracks,
Lifts his proud head, licks his lips with a smack,
Utters one low, loud snort and wrinkles his nose,
Then he's off like a shot, so much for the pose.

In a few short weeks, I'll be back for the harvest,
I hope he's still here, because he seems like the largest.
I've seen a few bucks up till now you see,
But nothing compared to the one by that tree.

*clips on official mini-mod badge of the Deer Adopts*

Well poems are accepted anytime, but especially for the Christmas event. I think in all probability there will be a buck or two in the cards for the deer being given out so you have a chance but Paper said early on that bucks would be rarer by far than does. (Just check out the cost difference between a soul stone and blood stone or that there are only 15 bucks in existence.) Bucks have been given away during the halloween event though so I see no reason for them not to be during the winter festivities. Also remember though, that the poem must describe the deer's pelt in some way, shape, or form.
Hope that helps from your friendly neighborhood geek, Kennet.

William Blake he sounds familiar.....*Goes to look up his poetry* Hmm, I'm not 100% sure but I think I may have read Divine Image by him... Anyways I looked over some of his poems and he has a really creative writing style I like it!

Thanks Kennet!
