Ipod Touch...a bit of help please?

Okay so I have a ipod touch that I got for my birthday.I put in the redeem code in the music page but when i go to purchase music it brings me to the credit card page...

Anyone know what im doing wrong?

Sorry if this is not in the right fourm...im really stressed and tired and just wanna know.

A few questions:
- Have you redeemed an iTunes gift card? I couldn't work out from your post whether you had or not.
- Have you created your iTunes store account?
- When the 'credit card' screen comes up, can you see a button that says "None" anywhere?
- Does the 'credit card' screen ask you for your billing info - your address etc?

If the last point is the case - Apple needs to know where you live so they can figure out how much to tax you on your purchases. Fill in the section of the form for your address but leave the credit card info blank, then click continue. You should then be able to use your gift card store credit to purchase music and apps.
