An art tablet!? Oh help!

Well, my birthday is on the 20th of November (Eek, a week away!) and my parents agreed to give me $100 so I can buy whatever. This adds on to another $200 I have, to make a total of $300. On Black Friday I will go out to look for (and hopefully buy!) an art tablet. Does anyone have suggestions for a nice tablet? I don't have much of a limit on price, but any cheap ones that are good will be fine!

By the way, what I am looking for in an art tablet is one that I can use for art like all of the animal art here on CS, not anything realistic.

I have a very nice tablet that was only $70. It is a Bamboo model CTL-460. I think it is perfect for drawing animals and other things on CS, and it was -somewhat- easy to figure out at first. ^^

Wacom Bamboo. The absolute BEST beginners tablet. Mine only cost about $150. Any other tablet and you'd just be throwing your money away. Wacom is seriously good quality, other "cheap" tablets are jumpy and awful.

bamboo pen&touch is fantastic.. I got mine for $100 a year or 2 ago, but now it's $80
it's a great beginner tablet, you don't need anything fancy like an intuos.. this one works great.
there's another one just like it, except without the touch feature. I never use the touch feature.. consider whether you would use that when buying a tablet. might save you some money when comparing models. (:

I also suggest a bamboo tablet. Mine is several years old and still works great.
