What's with this Join.me site?

I've been to many screenshares from other artists, but they've ALWAYS been on Livestream before.

But, on this site now, all I've been seeing is people running this weird Join.me site. : /

AND IT LAGS SO BAD. Like, every single time I've watched someone "livestream" with it, it's hard to even watch them because the screen hops and lags every few seconds. I doubt it's their computers, as this has happened with SEVERAL artists now.

Livestream, on the other hand, rarely lags at all.

Why aren't people using Livestream? D:

Maybe it's because with Livestream, it's harder to share your screen. I don't know how to make it so it shows my computer screen rather than through my webcam. I haven't personally ever watched anyone on Join.me, but maybe people like it because, from what I can tell, it easily shows the screen rather than a webcam.

The reason that a few of my friends use is is because the downloaded .exe program that you need to run it is a really small file and easy to use, and Livestream just plain doesn't work on their computers. I've seen my friends' computers crash several times while they tried to use Livestream, probably because their computers are too old or slow to be able to run it and whatever program they're showing on screen at the same time.

There's also the fact that Join.me doesn't have any sound, which a person might prefer. You wouldn't believe how many people I've come across who didn't know how to disable their mics. |D

Yeah, just disable webcam and you're good to go.

Meh, I've never heard of those issues with Livestream. o :
Runs much more efficiently, generally. The quality is also better.

xD -- I forced myself to sit down and figure out how to turn off the sound on Livestream the first time I used it, as I don't want people who pop in to watch me draw have to listen to my mother, my dogs, the television, etc, etc, etc.

i know a lot of people who draw on join.me just for the fact that you don't have to make an account. it does lag a lot, but livestream just plain doesn't load on my machine sometimes [and this is a brand new computer]. other than that, i can't really think of any reasons why xD
