Do you Name Your Electronics?

I got this idea from the NaNoWriMo thread, which can be found very easily here. :3

So yeah, do you name your electronics? Any particular reason why? What are the names? If you don't name them, then why not?

Oh, me? Well, I guess I can start ...

Laptop = Neo.
Phone = Hobbit.
iPod = Velociraptor the Friend. [lovingly nicknamed Tuck. He's my *best* friend~]
Headphones = Cerberus. [Cerb for short... even if those things actually have three heads...]
School Computer = Wayne.
Home Computer = Dino Dee. [Deedee for short.]
Camera = Fizz. [just because.]

Funny thing is, I don't actually use the names. xD I should really get on that ...

I don't really give my electronics names, but more like titles. Well, there are five computers in my house, so I couldn't just say "the computer", so I gave them "names".

Oldest desktop - The Old Computer
Newest desktop - The New Computer (which is not the newest computer we've got)
And the three laptops are just named like "(name of owner)'s computer". (my laptop, my mom's and my sister's)

The only other electronics that have names are the TV in my room and the living room. The Big TV is the one in the living room, obviously because it's the biggest TV in the house, and the one in my room is Spotty because it has so many white spots on it.

My laptop is named Philip. My other electronics don't really have names though.

Hmm... well, my laptop I have lovingly named Pile of Crap. due to it's horrible sound quality, and frequent catching of viruses. And the shift key is sticky... D8

I named my phone 'Florencia' after a group of friends and I decided we would go to Italy, namely Florence, when we graduated.

My computer is named Tesla, after Nikolai Tesla, the scientist who pretty much created the modern era and gets no credit (but I won't get into that now).

My iPod is named Hemingway, after the author of course.

And my SUV (though it isn't an electronic, I know) is named "The Tank" because it's big enough to be a Zombie Assault Vehicle. X"D

My camera is named Adele (no connection to the singer).
My car is The Grandma Mobile for two reasons; 1) it looks like a grandma's car, and 2) it belonged to my grandma. x3
I can't put the name of my oooold and only computer here, for it is comprised mostly of expletives. B|

My computers all have had names and genders. Mostly because naming is kinda required and each of them have had their own perks that I can attribute to male or female peculiarities. Not sharing the current ones but here's a list of the old ones:
Sanctuary -my old HP laptop, male
Highlighter- Old Dell laptop, female
Vagrant- old desktop. Female, touchy and restarted on whims. -_-
Dawn- my Japanese smart phone. I miss it so. It was burnt orange. Can't find that color in the states anywhere

I do tend to nickname my electronics. My first one I named was my oiginal imac, which I called Laura. :B Actually not too sure where that came from. The computer I use now is called Speedy, but that's a misnomer as it lags like you would not believe.
My phone is named Candy, because it's bright pink (8D), and my ipod is Leaf. So yeah...
Ohwait, and my nook! It is named Gina after one of my characters, Gina Genet.

My iPod is called 'Idris', after the TARDIS from Doctor Who (:
My Wii is called 'Derp', because that's what it does. |:
And my TV is called 'Annoying thing', because that's what it is. :3
