I see no reason why a special hour dedicated to instrumentals once a week couldn't be arranged tavbyrd.
However, I'm about to be a huge party pooper.
FooRadio worked well because it was on a small scale (100-300 listeners), on a larger scale it wouldn't have worked out as well. The more listeners you attract, the more careful you have to be.
I have no desire to own the radio anymore, I simply do not have the time because I have to start thinking about college, and I do not have the money to fund the radio. Which leaves CS to fund it, if they want something like this. I think it would be a good idea to host it right here on CS, because it would save CS about $50 a month. It would be a very pricey, very very complicated endeavor and I am not going to do all the work. I think it would be a great and interactive idea, and I will be happy to pitch such an idea to the staff, but as for owning it I have no desire, I think it'd be better if they owned it. That way they don't have to send money to a third party and trust that the person is only asking for what the radio needs. I have a lot of knowledge, and I'd be happy to share that with Tess and Nick, I can also put them in contact with the person who coded FooRadio, and he can share his knowledge too. I cannot promise he would not like to be compensated if asked to code something like this it takes a lot of work and he's a busy person. I can give them statistics from FooRadio to show them and see if they think it would be worth the time and financial investment. Starting a radio costs a lot of money. Unless a significant amount of CS users would get behind the idea it probably wouldn't be worth the considerable investment. I would say at least a hundred users would have to be interested in listening in to make it worth it. I will be happy to help them start it up however I can, and I'd be happy to help them manage it because I have experience in that but ultimately this has gotta be a decision made by the staff of Chicken Smoothie.
