The most light-hearted song on my iPod is most definitely "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" by the Beatles. It is physically impossible to listen to that song without bobbing your head and smiling.

The darkest song is probably "O Children" by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. It's not heavy in sound, but every time I listen to it I'm reminded of that scene in Schindler's List where the children are being carted off to Auschwitz. Definitely dark stuff. I always tear up when I listen to this song.

Auf der Reise by Subway to Sally, Album "Foppt den Dämon".
The lyrics are just so plain stupid and pointless that they make you laugh,
and the melody supports that feeling a lot xD

The most dark-hearted...probably all chapters of
Farbenfinsternis by Eisregen, from the Album with the same title.
It's a dark story, the melodies are rather harsh and Roth's voice adds a lot to the athmosphere as well.
Not going to link any of the songs of it here. They don't contain any swearwords or cussing,
but the overall content is nothing for the faint-hearted or young children;
even though I doubt that many of them on here would understand the lyrics anyway.

This one's difficult; there's quite a few by Blutengel, Celldweller, Unhelig, Oomph!, etc. that I can think of, but I'm not sure how appropriate the content would be for this forum. ^^;

Oh, um. owo; Almost everything I listen to is light, just in different variations and flavours.
I think... "[PonPonPon]" by Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, "[Mystline]" by Nujabes, "[The Call]" by Regina Spektor, [the album remix of "Hello Seattle"] by Owl City, or "[Learning to Breathe]" by Switchfoot are some of my favourites at the moment. c: Particularly the Hello Seattle remix, even though Owl City isn't exactly my taste most of the time.
PonPonPon just makes me laugh every time I hear it, haha.

"[What a Daring Dream]", maybe? It's quite sinister. Something about it makes the back of my neck tingle- especially at the end, if you're wearing headphones. Though I think it's more unnerving than anything else?
