how far into the future is your plot? how long have your dog been doing/having their lives? unless they are some type of breedist, I don't think "100 years from now without humans" you will find breeds. humans decided what dog went with what. so you won't have many pure _______'s.

Alpha- Pretty far. Most continents have merged, hence the large genre of species able to be in the same areas. It hasn't been 100 years without humans..humans still live, but the normal ones generally hide in government bases. Because the Apocalypse only happened around 3-4 years prior to the storyline, there are still purebreds running about, although any younger than 3-4 years will be mutts.
