Dude, stop acting like these people are your children or something. It's ridiculous just how upset people get when someone so much as mentions that they don't like a band, or didn't get the point of the book.
It's not your duty to defend them. 0.o
Or, alternatively, IT'S MY FAVORITE BAND AND I HEARD ABOUT THEM FIRST SO STAY AWAY!
Every notice all the crazy, screaming fans at concerts? Yep, that band doesn't belong to you.
And people whining about how people only like a band now "because it got on the radio." What? People listen to the radio a lot. If they hear a song they like, they'll probably look up the band and chances are they'll become a fan too. How the hell is that a bad thing? You had to have found out about your favorite band through something, whether it was a friend or a link to a video or maybe just looking around you tube.
You're not that special. -_-
To add onto that, it really makes me annoyed when people say they liked a band before they got popular. Not because of music quality or selling out, but more people just know about them. Okay, so a band who's living their freaking dream, doing what they love and being successful at it is a bad trait? You'd prefer they struggle in obscurity so you can feel like a cool kid?
