I'm sorry that my memory is horrible. I really am. But me not being able to remember does not mean I'm not listening, and I need you to understand that. I am listening. But somewhere in the big Memory Bucket of my mind, there's a gigantic hole, and things just... leak through after a while. It's not that I don't care. It's not that I'm not listening. And I feel like I'm losing my mind trying to get you to understand this... because every time I forget, you get upset about how I don't listen/you're so insignificant/you're nothing and nobody/I've got better things to think about/etc. etc. etc., and that's not the problem.
