Questions on Art Programs

Well I'm still working on getting CS3 for my laptop without much luck. I hated 4 and 5. Does anyone know where I might be able to find a copy?

As a back up I'm looking into other programs. Which do you use and what are its pros and cons?

I have a Mac OS X 10.6.8 also known as the Snow Leopard.

First off this topic is about what your thoughts are about other art programs other than Photoshop. Since I'm not having luck finding the version of Photoshop that I've worked with before and like.

Two, I never once said I'm looking to find Photoshop or anything else for free as a download. I want to buy it. I just don't like the new models and want to see if anyone knows where I can go BUY a copy of CS3. I know that they don't sell in on Adobe anymore since its an old model. I was wondering if there might be a chance that someone had seen a used one for sale.

Three, I have a job.

Please save your problems for the rant threads. All I want is help finding out info from fellow artists about different art programs.
