But everyone is amazing in their own way! This includes you... But not me X3

Cedric is amazing at his ability to FIND things...
Harry is gifted with his ability not to die!
Hermione is gifted with smarts
Ron is gifted with the ability to eat all the time...
Draco is gifted with the ability to draw very well...
On the other hand

Cedric does not lack the ability to die like Harry
Harry is not extremely smart like Hermione
Hermione isn't the best artist
Ron isn't exactly smart, either.
and Draco lacks the ability to FIND things like Cedric!

See, everyone is gifted in their own way :3

You are obviously very gifted in Harry Potter knowledge. xD -huggles-

I have five younger brothers and sisters myself. All of them SO much smarter than me! Especially if they continue to stay away from the military, haha.

Thank you -Huggles-

I'm also gifted in pointing out other peoples gifts when they try to compliment me e.e

In my honest opinion, I think this topic is slightly offensive. Everyone is gifted and talented in their own way, and this thread is clearly not big enough for everyone to post or show off how "gifted they are." So what if some people aren't good spellers, or struggle in school. Maybe it's not their fault. Maybe they have a learning disability, like dyslexia or something along those lines. This thread is almost as if you were waving some fancy paper in front of someone else's face, screaming out for attention that everyone deserves, not just you. Just because you were "tested" or approved of by your school that you are "gifted" doesn't mean that you should look up to yourself, flaunting around about it. That's called pride. I honestly think that it should be replaced with humble. I'm not saying you shouldn't be proud of yourself about your achievements, but don't go bragging about it calling yourself "a gifted person." Humble is when you are kind to others about it, now showing off. It can offend many people, such as me. I wasn't tested or approved of being a gifted person, but it doesn't mean I'm not. All I'm saying is that this isn't a good thread to look up upon or even being running here on chickensmoothie.

I have to agree. Just because someone said you're gifted doesn't mean you're better than everyone.

agree in the fullest. everybody is gifted. for example: you could be voted #1 best artist but still have bad grades, or vice-versa.

agree in the fullest. i was shocked to see such.."cough"arrogance"cough". everybody is gifted. for example: you could be voted #1 best artist but still have bad grades, or vice-versa.

People like you are what make me ashamed of what I am. Yes, I took a test and was labeled as gifted, but that doesn't mean I wave it in people's faces. Some "gifted" students may be overly proud, but that doesn't mean every person will be. Please, remember that I am unique as a human.
Also, I doubt this thread was made out of arrogance. Some of us just need a way to talk to others like them, and if their smarts define them, then this is what they would need.
I am a holibomber!
I have gifted _5_ people.
I have received _1_ gifts.

They weren't saying you are. I too am "gifted" (how I managed that I have no idea) but there's a difference between saying:

I'm gifted and talented at school. I've never been that before.

and
I'm gifted and talented, I'm this, this and this. Everyone who I talk too doesn't understand me becuase I talk about clever stuff and I'm top of the class.

I tested in 6th grade after moving to the local middle school. They put me in counseling so i could vent socially because of a variety of issues i had involving communication. Skipped the 7th grade by my own choice, counseling maintained. I slacked off during freshman year and have remained fairly laid-back about my grades.
heck the kids at the top of the class said they knew i was intelligent, i just didn't care to be defined by it. They're still right to this day.
But if there's one thing i've learned, it's that people place too much stock in intelligence and not motivation. That and the biggest difference between a rocket scientist and a "simple person" is often in two things, motivation and perception. Not intelligence.

I'm gifted too. I try to have patience. I don't like talking in class. I get carried away and everythign thinks I'm arrogant. I spend my time at the stables, wiht my horse, Norton :3 I feel amazing riding him. I even talk to him x3

Do you even know what 'immature' means? Sorry to burst a bubble, but it doesn't mean 'less intelligent' nor 'posessing less knowledge'. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if your peers turned out to be more mature than you.

You are not, I repeat, you are not better than ANYONE in any way. Please don't behave like you are.

I'm sorry if you took it that way. Yes, I do infact know what immature means. -_- I never said they aren't as intelligent. I never said I was better. No one here has said that at all. But whatever. Whatever you took in from reading this thread is on you.

If you do know what it means, why are you calling your friends "immature" and use "they don't get what I'm talking about" as an only argument?
You keep saying you're better through the entire thread, because you try to make your peers look worse -- at least, that's how almost everyone here, including me, interprets your posts.

"gifted" is a label people use to describe someone who tests significantly above their peers for a particular skill/talent/intelligence score etc. If people here are describing themselves as "gifted" that doesn't necessarily mean they are trying to show off, or insult others. They're just talking about a part of their life. If it doesn't interest you, or you find it offensive, then all you have to do is leave the topic.

Whoa
there are alot of mixed opinions here...
personally i think its great that people are gifted. I actually dont really believe in being 'gifted' in everything, i get average grades in most my classes but excel in english. Not because i am 'gifted', because that is a class i really enjoy and give the extra effort too.
