I took a test and people who got lower scores then me were gifted, everyone was suprised I wasn't. To be honest I didn't care. They sould be helping the less gifted and not giving more support to those who don't really need it.
Making students gifted is probably just another way of the school getting funding. I'm now gifted now I'm college becuase I' in the top 10% of the college based on GCSE scores. Only becuase everyone else from the school left. I got 1 A* at GSCE and every other "Gifted" person got at least 3. It means nothing at school except you get to go on trips. Whopty doo.
Every person is gifted in their own way. So being gifted is a opion. People call me gifted in art, yet I barely passed my As level (I passes by 3 marks, so 4 marks less and I would have failed) I got 53/100, 50 was a pass, so I barely got half marks. But people would consider me gifted.
So they tested you on athletic ability too? There are many gifted atheletes but I bet that test didn't include them right?
Sorry this turned into more of a rant then a constructive thing.
I was just going to post something like this.
Thank you.
I agree with horsy, hands down. Everyone is gifted in their very own way. I'm gifted with reading and my Harry Potter nerdness... But on the other hand I'm horrible at athletic stuff and art...
