I have a lot of friends who are pretty smart and choose to type in chat-speak when they're texting or emailing or something similar.
However, I would suggest trying not to brag, even if it's not on purpose. It makes you seem bratty. Which you may very well be, actually.

True. I'm not very polite at times, haha. Perhaps she isn't the best typer. But I still don't know what bragging has anything to do with being gifted. I mean, she keeps on talking about her 'indoor pool' and 'massive mansion', does that make someone gifted? No.

Please stay on topic; we are not discussing whether other people are truly gifted or not. The topic at hand is the idea of gifted people. Remember that if you have nothing nice to say, do not say anything at all. Threads that knock people down are not allowed, if you cannot have a civil and mature discussion, this thread will be locked.

I am a holibomber!
I have gifted 53 people.
I have received 53 gifts.

Being gifted myself, I can't believe the amount of "gifted" people that, like Cloudsong mentioned, are extraordinarily arrogant. You'd think that, because of the intellect gifted people have, they would know better. In my opinion, the truly gifted people are the ones that are smart enough to have figured out that being a little more intelligent than everybody else doesn't make you better than them. On another note, though, I think that everybody is gifted at certain things. It appears that the only people who are officially classified as "gifted" are the ones who have talent in areas that are useful for school.

Well i think it doesn't help that people who need help in education aren't always given the support that they need, but in our school, being gifted in a subject just means that you can skive off Cit, to help your studies...

The funny thing about this topic is that a lot of people would say it's arrogant just to admit you're gifted. Hmm. Oh well.
I've heard of -and known- "gifted" people who think that since they have more natural talent than other people, they don't have to try. Well, guess what happened to them. -_-
Signature under construction. I might get around to it within a century.

Does it count if you're gifted with a certain sense?

If this is just about gifts..
I can stuff a whole piece of large sushi into my mouth and eat it.

Oh? This is about serious gifts, oh, well, then..
I can read an 800+ page book in less than two days in certain circumstances. I'm above average in most of my classes, excluding Band(bleh, I suck in band. XD). I don't brag about it, I don't get why people brag or be arrogant about it..

I forgot the point I was trying to make.. oh well. -shrug-

I guess I'm somewhat Gifted. At my school, they a program, called GT. It standees for Gifted and Talented., and I was tested for it. Twice.

But it was funny, we were a group of 3 different nerds. I was the only girl with 2 other guys. It was fun, but now I'm in Junior High, so now I'm in all Honors Classes.

I got all A's, and 2 really high B's, like 88. So, I guess it wasn't that bad....

Hrmm, how to say this without sounding self-centered....? Well, I suppose most people classify me as "gifted" in art and poetry. Although my art on paper is probably better than anything else {ignoring that on paper I cant use color to my advantage}. So far this year, my art teacher has opted to put every single one of my projects on the wall o-o And I treat my planner/calender as a sketchbook :3
