Ahh, I have braces and I had to have injections to get two teeth taken out to make room for them, so don't worry, injections are probably my worst fear as well

And I don't think it was even that bad O.o

That is what I have heard..... I get to go to my super-awesome dentist/ortho's office for impressions on Monday!!!

I'm just gonna get this out first - don't be excited. Yes, while the result is nice, braces are not "fun". I got them in fifth grade and I'm just now about to get them off next month as a senior in high school, and I certainly don't enjoy them.

Like everyone else said it'll hurt for a few days after you get them and a few days everytime you go to get them adjusted. I would make sure they give you some wax, especially in the beginning because I remember the inside of my lips getting scraped up. And make sure you have soft foods to eat whenever your appointment dates come up.

Also a little tip for the impressions: Breathe through your nose. It sounds insignificant, but sometimes they have to redo them if the person panics because they can't breathe properly. :p

Lol, DON'T GET CHOCOLATE FOR IMPRESSIONS!!! GET MINT!!!! Chocolate tastes like crap. Mint tastes somewhat normal. Just puttin' it out there for you.
