It's alright. My Pokemon RP I worked on for two weeks isn't getting any bites either. Guess people aren't wanting Pokemon RPs nowadays.

In rebellion of all the characters who have ~*TRAGIC PASTS*~ where everyone dies and they get abused, I would like to make... the most normal character ever.

Tom Fisher was born in a middle class family in the suburbs of Anywhere, USA. His father worked as an accountant and his mother was a teacher. He was an only child with a dog named Sparky. Tom Fisher was never really popular, but was okay at Lacrosse and got crap in his classes except Math, which he got Cs in. He went to college to major in Business and currently lives in a modest apartment with his fiance and cat named Whiskers working as an insurance manager to pay off his student loans.

I just made that up in the last two minutes. Take THAT "my parents are dead, my foster parents abused me, and now I'm a gothic speshul snoflake that everyone loves and I'm amazing at everything I do" characters.

People are afraid of long openning posts unless they're literate.
And mostly ( I repeat to avoid offending my stalkers/people here - MOSTLY ) Pokemon RPs are controlled by illiterate people.

You know what bugs me? If someone makes a roleplay and waits, say, 3 minutes before abandoning that one and making another, even if the first one has people joining. Uh, hello? We just talked, like, 20 seconds ago!

And mostly ( I repeat to avoid offending my stalkers/people here - MOSTLY ) Pokemon RPs are controlled by illiterate people.

i was afraid the would be the case, but i thought ahead and said you only had to read the short intro, rules, copy the form, and maybe even faq. that's like 2 minutes for each post.

Agreed. I mean, 8 out 10 people have only had one or two bad things happen to them in their life. Say, for instance, a pet dying.

Ohmygod. I am so leaving this roleplay. It is a cheetah roleplay, and it is supposed to be realistic, but the cheetahs just fought off a bunch of lions. Um, no? Cheetahs run from lions. Three cheetahs can't even take down a single lion. Just no.

Reading scares people. They like short stories and rules they can skirt. Not thought-out plots and reasonable guidelines.

There's a sprite contest on another site I'm on. You need to put out a 'custom sprite' ( I'm sure the people on the site know what I'm talking about ) and 90% of people's sprite's "Information" Is about some abandoned, abused thing that is now super powerful and surrounded by friends and loved by everyone. These sprites also happen to be most of those people's RP characters.

Hopefully the judges are smart enough to skip that crap...
