Role Play Rant Thread Redux

^ Oh, I LOVE making manipulative characters! I have one in an offsite RP who's totally insane.

Basically, she's from a culture that are notoriously political. She was raised to be a lying b****. So she is! She uses her feminine charm to tie her mentor around her finger and then killed him, and then wrapped someone with extreme potential around her finger, becoming HER mentor. She used her womanly charm again and had her prodigee running around, killing whoever was a threat to her. When she prodigee was caught, she got off scot free. To top it all off, she was killed her husband and was basically that universe's equivalent of a devil-worshipper. I love her so much T-T I'd translate her into a character I could use on here, but she's a bit... sketchy.

And I just saw an RP where the plot is that the character's parents catch a girl kissing someone of the same gender, so they send her to an all-girls school. Okay, if you don't want you daughter to be a lesbian, what sense does it make to send ehr to an all-girls school?!

My psycho was born into gang life. Her brother, which is the only authorative figure in her life, neglected her and her twin sister so they turned to torturing his prisoners for fun. Physical torture eventually turned to mental torture. Now she knows like, 101 ways to drive someone insane. She snagged a girlfriend a couple years back (yes, girlfriend, they're both bi). When Mirah first met her she was all confident and stuff, now she's angry and distrustful because of the way she was treated >> I should totally bring her into the gypsy roleplay. It's the only roleplay on Chickensmoothie I'm a part of that isn't a one x one :'D

Like. Would it kill you to make a character just slightly over 23? Even slightly?

And believe it or not, 12 year olds are actually quite fun to play >>

AND. It makes *no sense* for a 17 year old to be a master at his/her craft >.< I mean yeah prodigies do pop up but they're PRODIGIES for a reason.

I'm always the odd one out in both animal and human rps when I make older characters. >:T Everybody's 17 or 18 years old while I'm like, 35. And in animal rps, everybody is 1 or 2 years old (and alpha/beta/whatever), while I'm 5 years old or something. It's rather annoying, since all the characters in (insert world here) seem to be teenagers.

I'm like, excuse me? *5 years* is not an effing elder >.< Would you call a 30 year old woman a grandma? No? Then why would it apply to wolves?

It annoys me when in a role-play the owner posts pictures of the rooms and settings, and they are completely mismatched, for example, an old English castle on the out side but a dance club with an indoor swimming pool on the inside. I understand that people can't find exactly what they are looking for, so they aren't going to match that well, but please, at least try.

I know precisely what you mean. I do tend to make somewhat older characters, though in a roleplay I made a character that was far younger than all of the other characters in her group.

When it's a rule that you must include a picture of your character. No. I don't have time to draw my characters, besides, most are used once then forgotten, so of course I don't spend money on other sites/pets on here getting art done that'll be left to rot away in a folder somewhere. Not only is that a waste of the artist's time, but of my pets/money that could be put to better use.
No, I will not "just Google for a picture" because sweetie, I don't know the owner, I don't own the pictures I find and therefore have no right to use them. :3 Plus it seems kind of... pervy to me, finding random pictures of people on Google and using them. ^^;
I know I wouldn't be happy if for whatever reason, someone had a picture of someone I know and was using it on here.

I'm paranoid about my RP. :c What if no one joins? What if it dies before it even begins? D:
