This is how my day went.

"OH MY GAWD REMEMBER 9/11!"
I explain to them I don't really care. At all.
"OH MY GAWD YOU'RE SO HEARTLESS D;"

I don't want to start a fight,but why would you not care? I understand you would be irritated if the person was all," OH MAH GAWD," on you,but really? That terrorist attack killed over 600 people,and it's offensive that you don't even want to remember that day and remember the lives lost. Agagin,don't wanna start a fight,but I'm just pointing it out.

Here's my opinion on it all;

People die everyday. People died in 9/11 just the same. It doesn't matter how people died, they just died. Just because those people died in a terrorist attack doesn't make them any more special then the people who happened to die today. Those people apparently aren't "OH SO SEPCHAL" so they don't deserve to be remembered like the victims of 9/11. Which, for the record, is seriously not true.
My grandma died a while back. I never even cried once. You want to know why? That's how I view the world. Everyone died. Everyone lives. It's the circle of life. Terrorists attacks? Those are apart of life too. It may not be pleasant, but they are. Sure, it's fine for some people to remember their dead loved ones. It's fine for people to remember presidents or whatever if it's a school standard. But remembering a bunch of random strangers whom you never met, heard about, or cared for you shouldn't be forced to remember.
A lot of the people who are "remembering" 9/11 are shoving that down people's throats.
I, personally, think people should just let it go. It was bad, I understand, but it was ten years ago. We already avenged it. There really is no more reason to continue this. But that's just me. I understand that people have different opinions than I, and I respect that. :3

..if you don't care at all you're a bit heartless. This affected a lot of people, maybe even some of your fellow classmates? And I doubt they were 'OH MY GAWD'. They're probably just people who honor those whose lives were sacrificed that day.

Then I must be the most heartless person on earth.

I understand how you view it,but the way they died was very sad. It dosen't make them any more special,but so many people died. I was really little at the time,so I don't remember much. Many people were heros that day. Some people went back into the tower to help and save others. They weren't firefighters or police. But they still helped anyway,when they could have saved themselves. But I'm glad we could discuss our opinions without it turning into a flame fight.

My "friend" told me that her cousin died on 9/11 while being in the hijacked plane at school.
I told her that I found it hard to believe and she said that it was true.
Dude, I've learned that your a major story teller....
if it's true then I'm very sorry for not trusting you and I'm sorry for her but still... I doubt its true.

Just because other people died doesn't mean we have to just brush the memory aside. People are allowed to grieve. Heck, I'm still mourning my cat that died when I was ten, my other cat that died when I was twelve, and my chicken who died this year. But are you aware that 9/11 was the second bloodiest day in US history? It's only one-upped by Antietam, which is about two hours from my house. So many people died that day. You can't even conceive it. This wasn't some bomb that went off. Extremists tried to get their point across by taking so many lives and their own, and destroying one of our largest economic sources-- The World Trade Center. You know what? It if weren't for 9/11, you wouldn't be able to simply press those digits into your phone and get immediate help. If anything, you should think about how you are under a constant threat. The possibility of somebody breaking into your home and robbing you, shooting you, or raping you just hangs over all of our heads every day. Some more than others. Can't you at least see it that way?

Also, tiny unpopular opinion, but there are theories that say that 9/11 may have been an "inside job", if you know what I mean. But I won't get into that. Very controversial and very touchy.
