Pubs don't work that way. O.o Yes, they serve alcohol, but they're nice friendly places to go and have a family meal.

I live in America, next to one of the most dangerous cities. Everybody's drunk, everybody's nuts. I actually live in a town that is considered "night life center" because there are a lot of pubs, and around here, it's just straight up filthy. Nobody returns from one sober. xD And you'd be surprised what people do when they're hammered.
