Barely anything happened in my town. We were supposed to get slammed with a good force from the hurricane, but it rained all night and gusts got up to about 15mph at their highest...so yeah...it was like a normal friggin' storm here.

Not that I'm complaining; I'm very happy there was little-to-no damage here...and I rather like being able to say "I told you so" to the people that flipped out and acted like this was going to be the reincarnation of Hurricane Katrina and the devastation it caused.

I know; I was expecting to, like, have some major damage done, but the worst that happened was that trees fell. My parents had friends living in Texas during Hurricane Katrina (makes me almost glad we moved; I used to live in the area that got hit) who apparently had to shelter somewhere.

Well, as soon as I thought my boyfriend was safe and was finally able to talk to him, his power went out and his phone won't even ring..
His phone is very strange and can work during power outings, but not this time.
: / ..I'm scared.

First we have an earth quake that made me fall down the stair(like I wasnt going to without its help lol) and then Irene hits us! We got hit by it last night to this morning. A tree fell right next to my window and almost hit the house, we got lucky there. I didnt wake up though. We have no flooding and are safe, I am happy to say.

Yeah Bring it Irene!

We are nowhere near Irene (in Nevada) but lately we've gotten TONS of rain, so we joke we're getting hit by it anyway. Its weird 'cause normaly its so dry, then this huge storm is on the EAST coast and yet we're getting rain on the WEST.

I have seen soldiers panic at the first sight of battle, and a wounded squire pulling arrows out from his wound to fight and save his dying horse. Nobility is not a birth right but is defined by one's action.

Shadowcharge wrote:if you guys happen to see water flooding your streets do not go outside and stand in it to look at the damage on your house under any circumstance the storms 600 miles wide and if you are standing in the water you could get swept away in flash flood. also the waters contaminated so do not go near it.

also do not drive a car through any large pools of water your car could stall and you could get stranded.

^^^ This!!!
Actually, I've heard that the floodwater comes out of the sewers o.O... so uh yeah and we all know what's in there XP
But yeah wait till the waters recede back into the ocean and wherever before seeing the damage done, it's not like it's going anywhere (unfortunately)
I'm glad I live far away from hurricanes! (lol I just get tornados instead XD)
Stay safe you guys and hang in there, it's almost over!!!

Merry Christmas!
I'm keeping Christ in Christmas. Are you?
As much as I love it here, CS is taking up a lot of my life. It is for this reason that I will be forever leaving during the 1st week of December. All pets will be going to my sister who will be getting her account shortly. Thank you all for a wonderful time; I have loved being here and I will miss it, but I will be saying good-bye to you all. Farewell, everyone!
Looking to give your rats a good home? Send them to me; they will be loved along with the rest of my hoard!
