Dear Mom,

Please stop getting mad at me for not coming to dinner. I hated orientation >.< I made a huge fool of myself in front my my three-year crush, and was so embarrassed. And I saw a bunch of my old bullies, and they just picked up right where they left off. Even my best friend, who's quite popular, couldn't even get them to shut up.
