Crushes, Boyfriends, and Girlfriends

I fell in love with this amazing girl who I met on a site similar to this one, We spend as much time together talking probably moreso than most couples. I've had girlfriends in the past and just the way this girl and I connected is so much deeper... Some people would find this sort of thing silly but I know she's the one, I feel closer to her each and everyday. We plan to meet soon and we've thought it over long and hard. We've been going out for 6 months now and they have been the happiest six months of my life.

um... not trying to ruin your mood or anything, but i recommend you bring some friends when you meet up with her. you never know what people you meet on the internet might do. there was this one woman who was posing as a 16 year old boy and was dating a 13 year old girl to find out her secrets. :O not saying that the girl youve been dating is like that, just saying what you should keep in mind. please dont get mad... :O

I agree with this statement. Unless you do video chatting or whatever, you can never be sure who a person really is over the internet. Or even if they're actually male or female. You need to be extra careful. If you schedule a meet and greet, make it in a very populated place where there are plenty of other people around.

Ironically, I'm the girlfriend. XD We don't talk online much anymore, we talk on the phone and webcam over PlayStation3. His mother and father have seen me and interacted with me, same with him interacting with mine. He forgot to mention it XD But yeah, we started in November, then started considering each other boy/girlfriend back in March. We had been talking on Skype since February, then started calling on the phone back in April. Started webcamming on PS3 back in... May-June? I think it was around May. But I've logged about 300 hours of webcam time. We do plan on meeting withing the next three months, his parents are picking me up WITH him. We're from opposite sides of America, so it is major dedication. But I'm happy. My next relationship after my boyfriend from my state ended after two years. But I've never been happier than with Atura :]

Ok so I was around the corner fm my crush today, just as I was turning the corner I got nervous on whether I should say hi or not. I decided against it and walked past him. We count each others eyes then quickly looked away and smiled! The same thing happened 45 minutes later after the class I was in! I'm going to try to say something tomorrow, hopefully I don't get nervous lol! :3

Okay, I am just friends with this guy i used to have a crush on a couple years back, and i thought i was over him, but i am really not (this has been going on for 4 years. i keep telling everyone and myself i am over him, but i feel like i'm lying, because truly, deep deep down, if him and my bff were hanging off a cliff and one of them was going to die, i'd save him (and i loathe saying this) because of the way he makes me feel. Everytime we talk, even if its just a hello, or if its about our day, no matter what we talk about, he makes me feel happy inside or all over, and comfortable. he takes away any negative feeling that i'm feeling permanently until something else bad haappens. he is always supporting me, encouraging me,just like i am to him.We talk alot. i think he likes me too, but am not sure, and not wanting to risk it because we are friends now. I kinda like his older brother,too and he knows this. i don't want anything to be awkward between us either, but i am getting some sort of vibe that he likes me back. I do not know if this is love or not. (i know it's not lust because its not physical longing attraction.) help please.

okay. that's fine then. i just wanted to make sure, bcuz the smae thing happened to me, ya know, meeting someone special chatting for a while, than meeting. but it turned out it was a 50 year old posing as a 15 year old guy! :O it was creepy... but since that's the case, okay. just wnated to make sure the same thing didnt happen to someone else. X3
anyway, i hope you two stay together for a long time. im glad your so happy with each other, and putting THAT much dedication in to it... it just make me go awwwww lol. i know what it's like to be in love, too. my boyfriend and i have been best friends for sooooooooooo long, and we started dating a few months ago. :3

Whats infautuation?

Dictionary.com defines the word "infatuate" as:
1. to inspire or possess with a foolish or unreasoning passion, as of "love".

Which means that while you may think you love someone, you actually do not. If you have a crush on someone, you are infatuated with them--or at least, the idea of them. Infatuation occurs often in young people, though it can very easily delude adults as well. If you are unsure about how you feel, then you most likely are not in love. This does not mean you cannot fall in love over time--but when you know, you know.

However, this is just my opinion. I would like to hear some -educated- answers from some other people. What is infatuation to you?
