He may or may not be real, but It's just like any other scary story right? it's meant to scare people ;) that's what makes him fun.

Considering somebody on Something Aweful's forums came up with him, it's hard for me to get worked up.

It's all just some clever creepypasta.

As sure as the rivers reach the seas,
back in his arms is where she'll be.

Just read through this whole thing cause there was nothing better to do, also I was incredibly curious.
Seems a bit like the Bloody Mary thing, ya know scared people a lot and all that but doesn't actually cause anyone harm, meh just my opinion on it. Funny thing is I'm defiantly more scared of a tiny spider than I ever will be of Slender Man, actually if he was real I'd love to meet him as I'm sure we'd get along quite well.

Although due to curiosity can someone tell me more about him? Or PM me so no younger kids get scared.

Most folks know about slendy through Marble Hornets on youtube (as well as the "copy xar" stories that lso have some neat storylines). Try looking through some of em if you like...thwy also have a twitter account by the same name and "totheark" us another youtube channel in conhunction with the story. I think they have the first half if the videos on dvd now.

I heard about it early this year, watched a few of those marble hornets videos and they didn't freak me out much, unsettling, yes, but not scary. (I play Amnesia for fun, lol) Some of the stories accompanying the myth were unsettling, too, but it didn't make me lose sleep. (Whenever something creeps me out and I'm facing my dark, silent hallway, where my room is, I'm like 'right, there's probably something waiting in the dark to kill me, but it's not going to bloody stop me from getting where I need/want to go!' so I man myself up and walk as quickly and quietly as possible to my room ((passing several open rooms on the way)).)
Yeah, whenever something on tv or the internet scares me, I switch to logic/common sense and think, 'just because it's on the tv/internet and killed all those people doesn't mean it's in my house about to kill me.' I usually get by on just that, lol.

The concept of Slenderman itself is quite cool, I recall my first experience prior to learning what Slenderman was; I was at a convention and met a tall person in a suit with one of those white morph suit masks on, at night, (we were at a lodge bordering a large native forest) I thought it was pretty awesome.

Uh, guys. I stayed at my friends last night, and we got on the subject of Slender Man. Lol, we should have closed the window before we started talking about him. x3

To me, Slenderman is one of those things that somewhere inside you know isn't real but you can't shake the feeling it it.
So I'm pretty scared of him, but also deeply amused by the fact that this scares me. x3

This. x3 Summed it up exactly!
I keep watching videos, ect, because I kinda like the scary-thrill. Even if I'm always looking behind me.
