I've seen a lot of " make my fursona" contests and they really annoy me. I mean, why can't you make your own fursona, people. You know yourself better than other people. ( I don't mean to offend anyone)

Beware: I may sound stuck-up in the following post.. lol.
I hate the stress involved with being a 2008 member. People expect you to be polite, courteous and all that stuff. They also expect you to have large amounts of patience when it comes to newbies, and act so shocked whenever an 2008 member finally loses their temper. I mean, sure, I know newbies are well... new, but who wouldn't get fed up once in a while? who wouldn't forget to be polite and courteous when they're frustated/ill/sad?
People expect us to be mature.. which I'm perfectly fine with. But another big problem is that over the years, I've had various people come up to me and go: "OMG get off your high horse! you think your sooooo much above us! you never had to struggle in the game as we had to!! you always act like your the best of them all!"

and it has happened to me on here. I mean, have you tried being one of us? have you tried being so uptight and mature all the time? can you live up to the various expectations we have to live by?
The answer is: No.
Yeah, I do get some respect whenever I post, but hey - it's all about joining dates!
I mean, I want to be treated like a proper person. Not this: "omg! A 2008 MEMBER! HIIIII!!!!" or this: "omg LEAVE ME ALONE!" when they haven't even talked to me..

Sorry guys for the long-winded rant, this has been sitting on my chest for a few months now.

I can understand where you're coming from, though I haven't really felt that much pressure. Admittedly this may be because I don't post much, and I usually hang out in the Adults Chat section, or I'm just used to being mature anyway being an older member by age and not just date. But really, I think everyone needs to relax about the date thing. I only take notice of join-dates when either I recognize someone from way back when (I do get a bit of an "oh hey 8D" moment when I see other elusive '08ers xD) or when someone is very, very new - and the latter is only for a month or two before newer people integrate nicely into the flow of things. I know things get harder and harder to get the older CS gets, but we've all had to work hard for one thing or another on here at least once, and I think it'd do well for people from '08 through '11 alike to remember that.
