Earthquake Tips

today christchurch and some of cantubury have had 5+ magnitude aftershocks and some of us need tips on how to stay calm through it so this is for the not-so-calm folks who still arn't used to it yet.

Stay away from most of the wreckage, it may trigger anxiety- don't stay in buildings. If there is an aftershock any buildings that have not crumbled yet will. It's not earthquakes that kill, it's the buildings.

:D Hi, i'm a chch resident so I can help...

* As stupid as it sounds, stay calm. If music for example calms you down, listen to your mp3 player/ ipod.
* Try not to freak out if you can't get through to someone's cellphone, power goes out alot here, don't worry.
* Don't do anything stupid, don't run up and down a coridoor screaming " We're all gonna dieeeee! " It freaks people out...
* Talk about something else, the more off topic the better.
* Or make it into a game, get everyone to guess how big it wasthen go check geonet :D

as if the earthquake wasent enough my 4 year old cat butterscotch has run away.i know she is some where in the area where my house is but we have tried time and time again but nothing.im getting so worried that she might have died from the shock of the earthquake.PLEASE HELP!,she is my baby girl and i miss her so dearlly.
