I can't wait to have my first lucid dream. I'll finally be able to see the Beatles live!! I've done a lot of research. It's fascinating. Something that will make your chances of having a lucid dream go up is to tell yourself, in present tense, that you can have one.
Ever since I was little, I would often loose my vision in the middle of a dream. It wasn't like everything went black; it gets extremely vague and fuzzy, my eyes hurt like there's sand in them or it's really, really bright outside and I can't open them. So last night, I told myself 'I can have a vivd dream, I can have a lucid dream, I can have a pleasant dream(which is naturally rare for most people). I didn't get a lucid dream, unfortunately, but everything was awesomely clear and pleasant.
When in a lucid nightmare, you can actually talk to your subconscious. Tell the nightmare, "What's up? Why are you here?" There are actual incidents of people feeling less stressed by finding a problem they haven't been dealing with from their nightmare.
If you are even slightly interested in lucid dreaming, I highly recommend visiting this site.
I wonder, has anyone ever connected a dream with another person, and shared the same dream?
