So, what is a lucid dream?
A lucid dream is when you become aware you are dreaming and are then able to control yourself and do whatever you want!
How do you lucid dream?
There are many ways to train yourself to lucid dream, but the method I have been using is doing frequent reality checks whenever something seems out of the ordinary, and just at random times of the day, so I would naturally do this in my dreams, so I would be able to realize that it is, in fact, a dream. Some examples of reality checks are checking to see if the time stays consistent when you look away and look back, checking if what you're reading stays the same after looking away and looking back, jumping a few times to see if you hover (this is how you fly in dreams), holding your nose and trying to breathe, and just making sure everything around you is normal and real.
An experience of lucid dreaming I had was where I was in my kitchen, and knowing I was dreaming, began experimenting with some of the activities I read about such as levitating, shape-shifting, and teleporting. I was successfully able to hover around, but when I tried shape shifting into a dog, I just couldn't get the feel of it, and when I tried teleporting, I tried to spin into nothingness and to another room, but I just ended up waking myself up. I guess I just need a little more practice
