I was playing Sims and finally got enough money to buy this mansion (I'd been playing for HOURS on end) and when I bought it and tried to enter build mode, the whole game froze because there was so much stuff to be loaded in order to edit. I hadn't saved. Why the h*ll didn't I SAVE!? >:{}

It's called cheat codes. :3 I forget how but somehow you can bring up a cheat screen. Type motherlode and you'll automatically get 50k.

I think you have to press Ctrl+ .... something else. Maybe C? XD I also play the Sims and get annoyed when it freezes. Especially when I earn a billion skills... But usually it's because my laptop dies.

CTRL + Shift + C = cheat screen.
motherlode = 50.000
kaching = 1(0?).000
And in case you want to do it in your neighbourhood:
Familyfunds [name] + 10.000 -> 10.000 added
= 10.000 -> becomes 10.000
But the family needs a family name of one word (like Family Madness. Family of the blooming roses is not possible with this cheat.)

And in case you're against cheats: you can do it only once for this time to make up for the lost time
