I can't imagine anyone being upset by it though. It is a beautiful set of dogs and the drawings look lovely. Though, I do think people will end up calling them something to do with the earthquake and tsunami, simply because of timing.

I hate that so many of my manga/anime friends are just using this as an excuse to baw about their obsession, i may like anime and stuff but i realize that there are more important things to worry about over in Japan like peoples lives at stake.

Like Lady said, it just turned out that way. Those pets were released what, ten days(?) before the tsunami.

On a happier note, Satoshi Tajiri is not dead. Even though I may have just spelled his name wrong...

It's not especially a tsunami drawn on these dogs, just a simple wave like the picture by the japanese artist (don't remember the name...). Because of the timing everyone imagine the tsunami, but it's not the original reference I think. :roll:

However, I was not a huge fan of these dogs before but I've ended up to adopt them though, for memories.
