The Hyperfixtations Thread

I'm currently really in the mood to ramble about my hyperfixtations/special intrests. I know that there's lots of other neurodivergent people on here, so I decided to make a thread! This will be a thread where you can just ramle about your hyperfixtations.It's hard finding people who will listen to you and be intrested in what I have to say and it can be really hard for me.

Rules

- Please remember that hyperfixtations/special interests are different from an obsession. When you're neurodivergent it can be hard to find something that give you serotonin, and when we find something that gives us that feeling we hyperfixate on it. In other words, this thread is only meant for neurodivergent people.
- Do NOT judge people for their hyperfixtations. It can hurt, and hyperfixtations are not controllable
- Try to reply and interact with people if you can! Ask questions, ramble with them, etc.
- Please no venting/trauma dumping. It is ok to say you can relate to something, but this thread is not meant for venting
- Keep is CS safe, please!! Everything is aloud here otherwise.
- Feel free to share fan art, your characters, cosplays, etc!
- You're free to mark this for later but please only do so once!

One of my special interests is collecting bones and other oddities. I found a cormorant skull a while back and i was talking to my dad, he wants to put it on display next to our plants!! I'm so happy he likes what i'm interested in

THATS SO COOL i also collect bones but i can only really find bird and rodent bones where i live!!

Oh my god for years I’ve been hyperfixating on Astro boy! Every version on it but specifically the older ones/anime! I love it so much but it barely has a big fandom so I’m stuck to rambling to my girlfriend about it haha. I’ve watched the entire anime so many times, drawn so many things and even written. I recommend at least checking it out! He babey

Other than the fact I'm extremely hyperfixated on chickensmoothie right now - im also hyperfixating on homestuck!! Its been rly special to me for like 7 years now and i just love those funky little alien dudes so much!!!

I recently developed a hyperfixation on Gregory Horror Show. I'm also super into Zelda and Kirby. My non-fiction hyperfixations are wildlife, dinosaurs and archeology.

Geology babyyyyy! The deepest humans have drilled into the Earth is in Russia and it's 7 km deep! That's almost 5 miles! And they had to stop because the rock was so hot and under so much pressure that it was acting like plastic/putty and the drill just wasn't able to continue! Isn't it crazy that the inner core of the Earth might not actually be in a solid-state and closer to superionic? rocks!
