halloween event late?

The Halloween event is never held in the first week of October, but the board theme did change to our Halloween theme on October 1st. FluffyMilo posted some previous start dates:

2015 - October 23
2016 - October 21
2017 - October 21
2018 - October 20
2019 - October 19
2020 - October 23

This should give you a rough idea of when the event will start. ;)
