It's from Moses.
The Prince of Egypt, actually...
Annoyance: We're dog-sitting for my mom's friend's daughter, and Laila is just the sweetest dog I've met. She'll climb right up into your lap and has no problems licking everyone's face, but our cat, Lugnut, is turning out to be extremely territorial.
As in, he's cornered this dog three times his size at least twelve times in the last three hours. And we've had to go rescue her, sacrificing our shins to the Kitty Claws of Doom.
He's just jealous. We got Turtle a few months ago, and he's always got fresh water, a warm tank, and we watch him for hours at a time. Meanwhile, the cat will go for a couple of weeks on the same food and water (in our defense, when we stop him from doing something he thinks is fun, he'll throw a tantrum and throw his food all over the kitchen floor. We just scoop it up and put it back. And he doesn't drink all that much, anyways; a few laps and he's done. We fill the dish up every three weeks or so and it's only around week five that it's getting empty.)
But 'older sibling syndrome' is no reason to terrorize poor Laila. She's already got to spend the weekend with a bunch of people she's never met in a strange new home in an even stranger place (she and Megan live farther out in the country, and we're in the middle of the city, next to the train tracks...), and now she's got to deal with the Demon Cat.
