debate: tomatoes. fruit, or veggie? one day my class got into this huge debate on tomatoes. i say vegetable though

Actually, tomatoes are scientifically proven to be a fruit.
Dictionary.com says a fruit is 'the edible part of a plant developed from a flower, with any accessory tissues, as the peach, mulberry, or banana.'
That would include a tomato. Vegetables I believe are found underground or elsewhere. So like potatoes, broccoli, or corn.

I have always said vegetable and I have my reasons :3
1- If tomatoes were considered a fruit, loads of other vegetables would also be considered fruit.
2- I don't FIND tomatoes to have a very... fruity taste.

I was wondering the general opinion of fast food?
I rather like it, but mostly for the salty chips. It's nice to not have to cook, but it has to be limited.

My school just made a "no-hugs" rule. Opinions? I think it's stupid and annoying.

But if it has seeds and is considered a fruit then would cucumbers, peppers, and stuff also be considered fruit?

I don't think there should be a rule against hugging

Yeah, me either. It's rather sexist, too, seeing as their explanatory theory was "Girls hug to exclude others". Excuse me? I don't hug people to exclude others. I hug people because they're my friends. >.<

at my town [ well, a range of towns... ] middle school, high-fiving, hugging, and chest bumping [ for boys obviously xD ] is 'bullying.' although, the thing that surprises me the most is that kissing isn't. :/

High fiving and hugging definitely shouldn't be on the list. Middle schoolers should know the difference between good and bad versions and if certain students don't then it's their dentention. Kissing is a two people have to be okay with so it's not bullying in that sense, but it can fall into sexual harasment if it isn't. And I feel that chest bumping should be saved for sports and gym in celebration only, then it can't be considered bullying.

Exactly. None of those things is bullying. I mean, what are you going to do, walk up to someone and be like "I'm gonna bully you now-give me a high-five, or else!"? >.>
