We need a new thing to debate... hmmm... Dec 18th. Do you like it? or not? do you think its fair that newbies get pets that many people may have had to work really hard for? Are there pets you think that shouldnt be re-released..? debate away!

Ok. on the eirst of the month, you collect the adoptables like usual [usually there are slightly less because of all the pets we will be getting till the 25th.]
Also on the 1st through the 25th, there is a box/place that you adopt from every single day. New pets and/or items. you only have the particular day to grab it [like the special items from Halloween]. On Dec 18th, you adopt from that box/place as usual, BUT the catch is special.. you get 2 pets that are released..as far back as 08 but sometimes you can get what they call URs, a pet that is only released on Dec 18th. Make sense?
Its an awesome time! if you liked Halloween, you'll love Christmas here on CS, but its a lot less work, no hunting... just adopting each day..couple mins of your time. ^_^

At this topic, I think it's great for newbies because it gives them rare pets and teaches them about respnonsability with pets.

Dec 18th is needed. Every month there are players that for whatever reason stop playing. That makes even less pets in circulation. If there was no Dec 18th, it would be ridiculously expensive to get a Sun jewel because there were only 148 players in July 08. (Though I think pet adding ended in Oct so the real number is 2,000-something) With 247,000 members this would make a sunjewel ridiculously rare to the point that no one who wanted one could afford one. You'd have to give up two account's worth of pets to get just one.

Yes, it is a little irksome that it's a free handout but guess what? You get a free handout too, so it's not like it's unbalanced. It just puts more tradeable pets in circulation which is not a bad thing for anyone with a large trade folder.

Plus how else would we get the awesome UR pets like the tiger dog, fruit and black cat?

The pets released changes every year depending on which pets don't meet the ratios they had when they were released. All malks were released because they were going through the process of being retired and would theoretically be valuable even though it was from last month.

Sorry if this is off topic but I watch this show and it's just sad. Here we are as people, finding complete interest in little girls (ok few boys) throwing tantrums and becoming b*tches (pardon my French). I'm sorry if this is upsetting to someone or whatever but really, these little girls are forced into pagents because their mothers (who obiv wanted to be pagent queens themselves but can't). People don't seem to understand that the little girls don't just get the choice to do this; they are literally forced into it, and become their b*chy little nature. Some of these little girls are even given (forced) bad things such as I know a pagent girl who was given her "special drink" of red bull (she's freaking five(ish)!!!) and she went all hyper. Other mothers inject their little kids with boutaux. Um, NG! I say NO
