My hair's actually a chocolate brown naturally, however it's currently a light brown, and at the back ginger (due to an accident with hair dye ahaa). I'm looking to dye it lighter sometime soon

Go for it! I needed a little bit of courage at first but I don't regret it in the slightest, I doubt I'm going back to natural colors anytime soon c:
My natural hair color is dark brown so going to light copper was already quite a bit of a change, later on I started dyeing the tips pink and then I decided to dye all of my hair pastel pink about 2 months ago. Pastels wash off really fast though so my hair was back to orange-ish in just a month. Last week I dyed it to a more neon-ish pink at home, this should last longer and I love the result! I left the tips orange so I have some kind of an ombre effect and my hair reminds me of a sunset
