Things that annoy you

That square thing is no less an art piece than manga or anime (or whatever it's called), it still took a lot of creativity and skill to make it.
I honestly don't like manga and think most of the drawings end up as copies of one another, but my dislike of it doesn't automatically make it "not art" or actually bad.
If you're going to get mad about people not respecting manga as an art form, than don't do the same to others. All art deserves recognition, different types just appeal to different people. ^^

Someone re-did John Lennon's song Happy Christmas (War is Over).

And that person's voice was AWFUL. All smooth and emphesising certain words and syllibols (sp?)...

Ugh.

It's spelled syllables, just FYI. ^^
Who was it that covered the song?

Annoyance: A commercial just came on saying that thousands of animals in shelters are dying but if you donate twenty dollars a month you can save some. I hate those because they make me so sad (and one of the cats looked just like my cat that died two years ago) and they play sad songs and there's kittens and puppies that look really sad and/or like they're dying and the sad music. ;-;
So I changed the channel.
And was immediately greeted by a commercial saying children are starving to death in Africa and if I don't donate they die because nobody helped them.

Ugh. Trying to decide on whether or not to get this girl a Christmas present....but there's so many things that can go wrong.
I know exactly what I want to get her, but I'm just scared. What if she doesn't like it? What if she acts like she likes it, but really doesn't? What if she doesn't really like me and she just wants me to no of her life, but I'm just an idiot and can't take a hint? :p

I hate how my brain always skips straight to the worst-case scenarios. :c

They're one of the reasons I never watch TV, other than:

• Catching glimpses of Matlock or Murder She Wrote while my parents are watching
• Fox8 News
• Judge Judy

Yup. I hate seeing those suffering animals.
And it makes me think; SHELTERS HAVE MONEY. We don't need to see poor animals that the shelter can take care of themselves.

@im-a-twird17: I agree with Labrador and Wibeke. Those squares are art, they're just as much as any anime or manga.
Art is more than drawing, it's using your creativity and imagination to create something, like Labrador said, it can be writing, drawing, etc.

Art comes in many forms, many more than you tend to realize until you really think about it. Drawing, Photography, Painting, Sculpting, Singing, Acting, Designing, etc. No one should be more or less than any other. It's the passion the artist puts into it that matters, not the medium they choose to display it through.
