Fursuit Thread

Well... I was looking an event in my state at a mall near me... and it said that over 400 furries in my state attend it every year. So I assume there are A LOT of furries in my state. xD

Furries are just kind of spread out everywhere. You don't usually know about 'em unless you go gather them up in fur meets and such, or find online communities. [for that, livejournal is probably a great place to start] We couldn't tell you where to find them or who has the most, there aren't any specific places that they tend to gather. Furries are just normal people, don't forget. It would be like trying to figure out where the most people on CS live.

Just a reminder, guys, if it doesn't add to the conversation then don't post it. This place gets spammed enough as it is. [saying "hmm..." and leaving it at that is useless, you don't need to post if you have nothing to say ^^]

i may be leaving all things furry for a bit. people in my homeschool group hate everything that is not strictly christian. They have only heard of the evil, psycho, nasty furries. Some of the parents are going to hold a meeting for the specific purpose of talking to my parents about how furries are bad and blah, blah, blah.
My friends parents really hate furries. The ones that i though ignored it were actually the ones complaining to my mom. it sucks. but keep an eye on my FA cause i'll be posting updates.

I have a fursuit pattern question. My mother sort of refuses me using all her duck-tape to make a pattern for my faun-legs, so is there another way I could get a pattern? And I need to know soon, cause I'm planning to make the pattern tomorrow, cut it out and start to sew before Saturday. And hopefully get it ALL DONE. <333


Any ideas?

Use packaging tape. It worked for me.

If they have an issue, just tell it like it is, "hey, I think talking cartoon animals are pretty cool and the creative outlet involved gives me a reason to stay off the street/not do drugs/etc."

If they think ANY grouping of people with similar interests of any sort is devoid of "evil" or "psycho" or "nasty" individuals, then they are delusional. What it all comes down to is simply: if you're looking for negative crap, you will find it EVERYWHERE, even the church.

Inari, that is bullcrap. Do you know what, am I EXTREMELY young furry, and my mom says, "There are a lot of worse things you could be doing." Thats all that matters! This fandom has the advantge point of getting your artistic ability better, and giving your imagination a boost.

Hey everyone, so sorry I've been away and not talking for so long,
ya'll know my mom died so yeah.. just got over being depressed..
I feel so loved by the community of furries near me.. I have plans
to go to 2 furry meets in the next week and a half one as a spotter,
and the other one just for fun (no fursuits for the one).

I'm currently also working on creating a new fursona, made a new
furry friend yesterday (her name is Sketh) and I've been having a lot of fun.
2 of my furry friends (Sketh and Axel) are both going to help me with a fursuit..
so long as I provide the money for the fur my friend Axel will order online,
and Sketh is giving me fursuit foam that she doesn't really need.

also Axel has a sowing machine and she really wants to fur everything. XD
