Ah, I wish I could help you, but I have issues with small anthros, as well. x)

I was wondering if anybody would be willing to do free art/badges of Nira, the charrie I showed you last night? <33
I would be so grateful!

Hey there :3
I'm thinking about suiting as my character for Halloween, but I gotta get supplies for the suit.
I'm wondering about how much do all of the supplies cost? Or how much did it cost to make your fursuit?
I'm probably only gonna do a partial suit.

Another question, my character has semi-flopped ears, like a border collie, I don't want sculpt them out of foam, since I want them to have a little flexibility, so would sewing a pair of ears, then stuffing the outside a bit, then putting a wire inside so I could point them how I want them, then sewing them on to the head work?
I'm sorry if this didn't make sense xD

Hi! Well, koowie, who's made quite a few suits, told me to save up at least 50 and she'd match that with her money, but other than her estimate i'm not sure how much it would cost, it would just depend on if you have multiple fur colors and stuff like that.
I would try to make a fursuit for halloween but I'm saving for something else right now so i'm doing a cosplay instead, because my friend and I planned it a few months ago. <3
I'll probably start my suit after Christmas, with koowie.

And that sounds like it would work, but again I don't have muchsuit knowledge so i'm no help at all. x) But that still sounds like a good idea for the ear flop.

I was wondering if you guys had any advice for drawing an anthro rabbit/ other small animals in anthro form? I drew a steampunk rabbit in anthro form but I found it very difficult and the anatomy was all wrong so I thought maybe you guys could help me out with some tips or something ^^

Hey pan! I haven't talked to you in forever!

I think website would help on how to draw anthro rodents( I know its only on how to draw the face ^^)http://www.drawfurry.com/?p=5

But maybe for the anatomy try looking at some different pictures of anthro rabbits others have drawn to get an idea or also look at some pictures of real rabbits .

hope that could help ^^

Breeze, I'm doing those kind of floppy ears with my suit :3 What you have to do is make the base of the ears out of foam, and add the fur, so the floppy parts of the ears are only fur. (Sorry if that was badly worded XD)

And Pan, rabbits and rodents have always been so hard for me. Try making the bodies longer on the rabbits and the legs shorter.

EDIT: Ahhhh sewing spots are a pain in the butt ._. Just those two little spots took an hour to sew.

Wow, lots of Floppy Ear Makers! Im making them on my fursuit, and what I plan on doing is making basically like a pillow case for the ear, then taking some foam and glueing it on. Then, bend the foam down and sew the base into the middle so its basically a floppy ear made out of foam [Hope that made sense, if not, id be glad to explain again XD]

Pan, My friend [ReffinaRat] and I are excellent at rats. What i've found, is if you look at the head of rat, and draw the head, as you draw the body it will magically morph together too look amazing. This is my result I came up with XD... And of course, Reffina has a pet rat so she knows how they look XD

... Jerry, you should have airbrushed them XD

If I make it through my first suit and koowie is willing to help me with a second (Of course I'd be paying for all the materials then xD), it would be a floppy ear as well! xD Mimi has floppy ears. <3
Goodluck n all those bases you're starting today. I bet they'll be great!
I've only drawn a rat quad a couple times, and i've never tried an anthro. Maybe i'll try one some time.

I seem to absoluetly fail at floppy ears even though i know how to make them. That's why I stick with just pointy ears.

Also i attempted to make chibis of my fursona's. it turned out.... ok i guess. I found out im not good at chibis though.

I have a question for koowie. Hey koowie! Just wondering... Are you still doing that group picture of the CS Furries? If you dont have the time, I could do it. :) And if you need help with it, then I will help you. x)

I can help with the drawing of rats and micros... :)

With micros, you can usually give them normal proportions; it helps to put another object in the picture for comparison to show the size.
I drew some anthropomorphic, micro mice. They looked like normal size anthros- except, they were climbing on a teapot. This tells the viewer that they are small ^^;

Of course, when drawing rats, like with everything else you have to study the real thing :)
Some things to look for...

-Their eyes are on the side of their heads, and can bulge out slightly. Their eyes can actually boggle out when they're very happy, as a result of 'bruxing', which is grinding their teeth. So if you're drawing a happy rat anthro, you can draw their eyes bulged out to be true to the animal xD

-The heads are roughly cone shaped, but this can differ between rats. Some have rather stubby noses, whilst others have more pointed snouts. This differs slightly with different types of rats, too. :) It's something that's good to play around with to suit the personality of your character.

-Their bodies can look rather blob shaped. Sometimes, the legs and body sort of merge together, and there isn't much definition. They can also stretch out, and you can see their legs a lot more clearly and such. In anthros, I tend to translate this as being rather squishy- my rat anthros always have a 'smooth' body type, with no hard angles. And big hips and thighs xD

-Their feet can go down on the heel, or standing on the balls of the feet. It depends on what they're doing :) Which makes drawing their feet in anthro form rather interesting :D

-4 fingers on hands, 5 on feet.. Though in anthros this can be changed to suit a style.

Here are some reference images. You can observe how rats work from the photographs and such, but please no editing/copying/direct referencing :)

A young rat. Shows the 'everything merges together' body type. This photo was taken by the breeder of my rats, so please don't take it, anyone ^^;
Shows head shape and body shape. Also ears
Like the above image, this is a Fancy Rat- yet they have very different head shapes.
A drawing of a rat by me. Shows head shape, slightly bulging eyes and feet.
A highly stylized anthro mouse drawn by me. This is a very humanlike anthro, however I have included large eyes, a squishy body shape with big hips and such to make it recognisable as a rodent.

I hope this helps.. :) I adore rats eheh. I've got three baby girls and they are beautiful. Another thing that may be of interest is that girls are quite a bit smaller than boys. The boys are generally bigger, squishier and lazier. Girls are more 'pingy' and are too preoccupied with more important matters to snuggle- places to see, things to sniff, prized possessions to chew, etc
