Words cannot express how much I like you. (Love is a strong word, and I don't want to use it lightly.)

A week ago at three in the morning I had suggested that you stay up until sunrise on your birthday, because you've never had an all-nighter and life's about creating new experiences and all that jazz. I didn't think you'd take it seriously, but you asked me to stay up with you until sunrise and I accepted in a heartbeat. I presumed we'd only do it through chat, but you suggested that we video call from midnight to sunrise and though I'm a shy bunny, this was an opportunity for me to get to know you better. So we didn't sleep, and we talked of many great things through the dark side of the morning: exes, school, extra-curricular stuff, friendship, future plans, and many other silly topics.

You made me play my ukulele (after many hours of me saying 'no', as I've never played to anyone before), and though I was extremely terrible at changing chords and singing, you were smiling like a goofball through the screen and told me I was good and I had a pretty voice. I apologized for not sounding nice at all and mentioned you weren't obliged to compliment me, but you said you weren't looking for perfection in the first place; you just wanted to see me enjoy playing whatever because that alone made you happy, too.

The sunrise from both our places weren't pretty; it was cloudy and the sun hid itself from us. But that was alright— our early-morning laughs made the morning brighter than any sunrise I've ever seen.

I'm not sure how we managed to get through 5 hours of talking, but we did, and time just flew by. I wish the world could spare me a few more moments with you. Thank you for making me an extremely happy person, and I hope you're just as happy as I am.
