We broke up for multiple reasons, mostly like values such as what we think about abortion and having kids etc etc mostly to do with how different our culture is

I would be willing to fully commit to him and I know he still feels for me but I don't know how plausible it is now I'm in uni and about a 7 hour drive away

Yes we are still like best friends, we talk all the time and he's coming up to seee me at uni for the weekend next weekend so I'm super excited but just yeah, I don't wanna be that person and say something which causes me to lose him as a friend you know?

Honestly considering what you've been through I don't think it'll damage your friendship right now--especially sense you've mentioned he still feels for you? If anything being honest with your feelings, might bring you closer together as friends.

I've seen couples with major cultural differences get together, granted it's difficult, but it's not impossible to reach an understanding with one another. The real thing that concerns me is value/moral differences. If there's a way you two can reach an understanding/compromise with one another on that issue, then I don't see anything wrong with the idea of reuniting. (As long as it's something you feel strongly enough about to put this much effort into)

I can't say I've ever had experience with commute issues--but as you've mentioned the two of you talk on a regular basis, so I don't see why it wouldn't work. Maybe you two can plan to meet half way, or make arrangements to stay at their place for a certain amount of time, etc.

But I mean honestly, there are some major things to consider with the situation that I cannot speak for you. Ultimately, it's up to you! And I do wish you the best of luck however :) ♥
