Same here :,) I feel silly about the whole thing, but I’m so afraid I’ll never find someone. That there will never be a guy who can love me in such a way. I don’t need to be in a relationship yet, but I just feel as though I’m too weird...

I accidentally made myself extremely sad last night by thinking of all of the things we will miss out on doing while my boyfriend is away for retraining for 4 months. Things like cons, summer, vacations, and the fair, and much more. I don’t want him to go. We’ll be in different time zones and will rarely get to talk due to our schedules. I’m not going to handle this well......,
And I don’t want to tell him how much I don’t want him to go because I need to be supportive. He wants to be back in the marines and I need to make him being away as easy for him as I can by not complaining. But this is so hard on me. I don’t do well with distance. I get lonely and start down dark paths. I have a couple of months before he leaves but I just keep getting more and more sad.
He won’t be around to go to the con with me in September where we first met last year. Little things like that are so important to me

this is the first time that someone i've had a crush on likes me back. we text often and he likes hanging out with me, but i've never had a boyfriend before, so i don't know how to handle this. i'm still really glad he's around, though - he's so sweet and shy. i'll have to figure out how to spend time with him without it being awkward. (any advice would be really helpful)

Find some things yall have in common that you can do together. It can be stuff you'd do with a platonic friend, too. Having something to actually do can help kill awkwardness because you're not 100% focused on each other and you're too distracted to be self-conscious. For example, my boyfriend and I played a lot of video games together when we were still in the getting to know each other stage- it's a mutual interest that's engaging enough that we didn't have time to feel awkward, but we can still easily talk a lot. Over time you'll get more used to each other and it'll get a lot easier to casually talk.

Don't worry about "how to handle this" or reading off some script or whatnot. Just communicate with him and do what makes you comfortable and him comfortable. Do what makes each of you happy. There's no one right way to do this. =)
