my air conditioning. why?

my air conditioning is broken, in 90 degree weather. I'm sitting here with a fan literally 6 inches from my side. this is terrible. the same thing happened a couple of summers ago and i do not want to go through it again. i don't know what's wrong with it, but the fan in the air conditioning isn't spinning, even though on the box it says it's supposed to be. the only air coming from the vents is as hot as it is outside. this is terrible. why me? why this house?
