I have less than 50 minutes to write approximately 1,500 words.

Yay. *sarcasm*

Only 250 minutes every 10 minutes. You can do it! Go go go!

I was so close! Fell short by about 200 words.

Ah well. I'll get ahead a bit now I think.

That's really close! It's taken me like 3-4 hours to get 1667 words today xD I really need to get my book moving to the more interesting parts so it is more fun to write. I'm going to try and get ahead a bit now- hopefully this next scene spices things up a bit.

Hrmmm I'm sort of attempting the NaNoWriMo challenge, but not really?
I'm trying to take my own personal spin on it, really. Like-- just overall using this particular event to personally encourage me to work on a previous writing project.

Because I've been working on a story for nearly two years, and the first part of which is pressed at a current 101k words. I've been rewriting it though, and changing up complete sections and what have you, so I'm sort of taking this month to sit down and force myself to finish the rewrite and edit it out.
Currently at about 27k words into the rewrite, and I've minused about 6-9k off of the original since I'm trying to properly downsize the story (hopefully to around 80k). A lot of that 27k was done prior to November, though and, due to my power being knocked out from Hurricane Sandy and my mother staying home this week, I haven't typed as much as I'd like to for this month thus far. : /

So I guess really I'm the opposite of the actual NaNoWriMo challenge because while the challenge is to just go for a rough draft, I'm more of trying to edit something into a completed work ahhhh
I'd still like to think it counts somewhere though because I was at least inspired to really sit down and work by the event? I dunno

As long as you feel productive and inspired, it counts. =D I think there actually is a rewriting challenge for December though, lol.

Heheh; I'm using NaNo to build up the lore of my universe, so that it -hopefully- grows diverse enough for my taste :D
I'm holding my urge to get the "actual" story written back as good as I can, because I really want to build up a world as believeable as I can make it first.
So NaNo is mostly me writing stories about idea I had for the world. Curent one is like a prequel c:

I'm goning to try NaNo this year, but I'm not going to get that far >.< I have exams
