Neil Gaiman. If I had an ounce of that man's talent I could die happy.

Scott Westerfeld is my biggest fiction author when talking about who I look up to. He's really talented. I also love Cornelia Funke as well, but I haven't read her books in quite some time. I should re-read them again... I'm also a fan of Cassandra Clair, but there are a bit of drama aspects to her stories that I'm not big on.
When I begin writing mysteries I'll probably focus on Jodie Piccoult. She's brilliant, and I've always wanted to write like her. The perfect combination of law, mystery, and a tiny bit of romance, enough to satisfy but not too much to take away from the story.
/hoping I didn't butcher their name spellings.

Go, 1000 words! Write yourself.

Oof, Neil Gaiman. That man has an amazing way with words.
And Scott Westerfeld as well.

I just love everything.

I haven't heard of anybody else's [except Stephen King, haha] so don't worry.

Okay, I'm getting there. It's only 12:46am, after all.

Just 400 more words and I'm done for the night!

@Ice
I forgot about Stephen King. I never made it through the first book of his I tried to read (I don't even remember the title). All I know is there is something about his writing style that just rubs me the wrong way.

Ermm, here's what I could remember.

Tamora Pierce wrote the Song of the Lionnes quartet, The Immortals quartet, The Protector of the Small quartet, The Circle Opens, and a few other books, and the newest ones are the Beka Cooper series/ trilogy, can't remember which it is.

Scott Westerfeld wrote the Uglies series, and the Leviathon (sp?) books

Cornelia Funke wrote Dragon Rider and the Inkheart series

Anne McCaffrey wrote the Dragonriders of Pern series, and some other ones.

The rest you'll have to look up yourself, I can't call any book names to mind.

Only 300 more words...

Leviathan, but very close! My all-time favorite series. Well, at the moment. It always changes. I actually have heard of Anne McCaffrey, although I forget why I didn't read the Dragonriders of Pern. Hmm. Well I have to read Inheritance right now once my friend is finished.
I've never read Stephen King, just heard about him. I'm way to chicken for his books!

30k! I'm done for the night. Bed time. Maybe.

Mine is Timothy Zahn, although he writes sci-fi and I mostly write fantasy, so I don't think I'd really want the same style as him. I would like to be able to keep a plot moving along and complex like he does though. I'm not very good at that.

I also write "silly" books as well that are fairly random. Like last year's NaNo was about the Internet service in the Underworld being cut off and a couple of horses having to go fix it. With that style of writing, I've had quite a few people tell me my style is similar to Douglas Adams. And since he's popular (or relatively so and I know people who think his stuff is totally awesome) I thought that was pretty cool. Although I think my first response to that was, "I'm not British!"
