It's more about the word count goal than the actually story. You don't have to show anyone any of it, it's just good motivation to continue and make sure you finish!
Anyway, I've gotten my mojo back! 100 words from 2,000 for today. My goal for tonight is 24,000 total.
Yeah, you don't have to quit 'cause of that. I'm doing my NaNoWriMo all on my own, and haven't shown anyone, anything of my story. I'm very protective of any of my writing. Luckily my family understands and is very good about leaving me alone. Except my dogs who sneak a peek every once in a while XP
I am going to share some of it with my writing class though. They are so awesome and helpful. But I totally understand your reluctance to post it online for the world to see. Especially if you want to publish it. But you can still discuss plot problems, and writing in general with everyone. I'm not on the NaNo website, so I'm not sure how it works over there.
Also, I got like 60 words done today! Yay me! Argh. I hate pretty much everything I've written up to this point. I was kind of stuck so I just had one of my characters say, "Let's go into the random creepy house for no apparent reason!" and the other character was like "Good idea! There won't be anything scary in there at all!" Figure I'll throw something in there to shake them up. Not sure what though. A monster, a human? Maybe they find an old laboratory. Maybe a Ninja rainbow unicorn. And for some reason I'm listening to 'Tarzan' music, don't know why as it has nothing to do with my story. o.O Running low on inspiration. Must. Write.

Seriously? Don't take time to perfect your plot (that's not the point of NaNoWriMo), just write! I'm now up to 20,904 words.
